We have worked with Terra Nova Church regularly since we opened our doors to business in 2010. Along the way we have created pretty much every imaginable form of media for them. What we consider to be the crowning jewel though is most certainly the website we created for them, as it is the culmination of so many different projects. The Terra Nova website is a multisite project like no other. A family of independent websites all sharing centralized resources under the umbrella of the Terra Nova Network.

Thorough planning, strategy and organization was the foundation of which this site was built. Figuring out how to best organize the massive amount of content and individual needs of each church as well as the overarching network was no small feat.

Terra Nova’s brand which we have created and expanded upon over the years includes a wealth of elements that translated beautifully into this content and media rich website. It was important to ensure that every piece of the interface was intentionally crafted to maintain a consistent brand while also allowing freedom to expose the individual characteristics of each church.

Within the site you’ll find a wide range of unique layouts and custom treatments in order to best communicate all aspects of the organization: beliefs, values, mission, opportunities to get involved, etc… In addition to this, the site contains a vast amount of resources – sermons (audio and video), study guides, articles, etc – all within an organized and intuitive library.

As with every Iron to Iron website, creating a fully responsive experience was a critical objective for the project. Keeping the branding and messaging at the forefront while not compromising on the organization and usability was our goal. Due to the extensive planning executed at the forefront of the project, the mobile version was able to maintain all of the beauty and integrity of the desktop version.

Seeing the wide variety of projects that we/ve completed for Terra Nova all in one place is just about as good as it gets in our opinion! We're proud of the brand that we’ve helped them establish and even more proud of what it represents.

A Resource Rich Mission

Sometimes the simplest of messages are also the deepest. This is why Terra Nova's website comes complete with an incredible amount of resources. These resources not only inform the outside world of their mission but equips its members to participate in their mission. Therefore, their site required many pages, each ranging the full spectrum of media; designed to be as impactful as possible. In cases like this, organization and brand management are the highest priorities. Getting users the information they need while ensuring that they know the foundational principles behind this information is key.

A Logo at Last

For many years Terra Nova operated with a very loose brand. They had a logo but didn’t represent them the way they had desired. Finally we decided enough was enough and took on the challenge of creating a brand which would better represent them as well as their mission. It was a tall order for many reasons, but largely because it meant starting from scratch with every imaginable piece of media and material that they had. The process was segmented into phases in order to stay on schedule and stay accountable and realistic to the task ahead. Now, not only are they operating at full steam ahead with a complete suite of materials but they’re also able to manage the majority of them internally.

Series Artwork

Like many modern churches, Terra Nova organizes its sermons into various series. Some series can last a few weeks while others may last up to a few years. Regardless of the duration, we create artwork to accompany each series. Each piece of artwork is crafted to help portray a visual representation of the series. These graphics take the form of posters, flyers, post cards, screen slides, etc...

Kevin and Jon are truly part of the Terra team and are our key partners helping us communicate who we are and what we do. Their unique ability to artistically and clearly portray our identity as an organization has been invaluable to us. We couldn't imagine working with anyone else and deeply value their friendship.
